Our
History
Goldsborough
and Vansant, Inc. was incorporated on September
9, 1927 in the state of Pennsylvania to serve primarily as
a manufacturer's representative of industrial products for
the steel, oil, mining and building trades. Present management
assumed control in 1971, with William K Julin, Jr. eventually
acquiring 100% of the outstanding capital stock.
As the business prospered, the Butler Forge and
Metal Works division was formed in 1965 to mark
the company’s entry into the manufacturing end of the
business. Management felt that the increased volume of maintenance
related business for critical parts required the need for
its own plant to better control quality, service and competitive
pricing.
Donora Door Repair Division was
formed in September 2003 to provide complete repair and reconditioning
services for coke oven doors. The
Butler Forge and Metal Works division is capable of manufacturing
all the spare parts required for the coke oven door-reconditioning
program
